I've been tagged!

This is long overdue.
Bugsy tagged me to name 7 songs I am into right now. Well, they're not all songs. Some of them are more appropriately referred to as tunes. I am fond of the guitar and so it's just natural that I would be listening to guitar works by who I consider to be masters of the instrument. I have too many favorite songs/tunes that it's so hard to compress them to just seven. So, instead, I am giving the albums where some of them are found. As I told Bugsy, I don't think the young ones might not know these artists as most of them had been popular during my teen aged years. Anyway, here's my list:

1. Stevie Wonder's "Songs in the Key of Life" especially "Knocks me off my feet"
2. Eric Johnson's "Cliffs of Dover"
3. Jimi Hendrix's "Red House" from the G3 Live album" - Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Eric Johnson
4. Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing and Castle's in the Sand" by Tuck Andres
5. Chicago's "Question 67-68"
7. Tower of Power's "Sparkling in the Sand" and "Don't Change Horses"

I think it's customary to keep this tag going so I think I'd like to look at the lists of my friends; author and former dj Batjay, rocker and lead guitarist Kat, and pansitan's madame Ate Siena

Hi Tito Rolly! I like the songs you mentioned (show our age, ha ha!) and miss Stevie Wonder's album, Songs In the Key of Life (especially Ngekulela, bouncy happy tune that it is) because Knocks Me off My Feet became a hit in the days when I was a still a DJ. I recently got a CD as a gift - the best of The Tower of Power but sadly Sparkling in the Sand wasn't there. Thanks for joining this game!

bossing,

gagawa ako ng bagong list ng mga paborito ko lately and i will post it during the weekend.

actually, nagawa ko na ito a year or two ago through Kat (so she may respond like this as well). here is what i wrote...

SONGS IN THE KEY OF LIFE

1. "Suicide Is Painless" from the M*A*S*H movie soundtrack
2. "Organ Grinder", Mark-Almond

Nagpapalit ito from time to time kaya hindi yan permanent "greatest hits". Special mention din yung "Imitation of Life" ng R.E.M.

SONG LINES, I WISH I WROTE:

1. "You will seek me and you'll find me In the wasteland of your mind"

2. "For all eternity I think I will remember That icy wind that's howling in your eye."

3. "In your teardrops, I can see my own reflection"

4. "The highway's jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power drive. Everybody's out on the run tonight but there's no place left to hide. Together Wendy we'll live with the sadness, I'll love you with all the madness in my soul"

5. "The Mississipi Delta is shining like the national guitar. I am following the river down the highway, through the cradle of the civil war"

SONG LINES, I'M GLAD I DIDN'T WRITE:

1. "Shooting at the walls of heartache, bang bang. I am the warrior"

top five pinoy rock songs

1. "kundi man" ng jerks
2. "pinay" ni floratnte
3. "tao" ni sampaguita
4. "wally's blues" ni wally gonzales
5. "ang himig natin" ng juan dela cruz

top five beatles songs:

1. "because" ng beatles, siyempre. hehehe.
2. "for no one"
3. "in my life"
4. "strawberry fields forever"
5. "a day in a life"

top five records:

3. "dark side of the moon", pink floyd
4. "the white album", the beatles
5. "running on empty", jackson browne

Hi Tito Rolly! Thanks for thinking of me with this tag! And I also liked your list. I dig Jimi Hendrix! If I could only play like him!
Well I'm working on my list since I'm constantly listening to old and new stuff. I'll come up with something like Batjay's too!

Bugsy Ngikulela- ngikisasa... Thanks for the tag.

Kat Yes, if we can only play like him! i have several Hendrix pieces but couldn't find time to study them real hard. I need full concentration when trying to learn a piece eh.

Can't wait to see your list.
